Born between Naples and the North East.
A meeting between two places, told through a sandwich you can hold in your hands.
An everyday gesture
The Crush Stottie was born from a desire to turn a simple everyday gesture (preparing, filling and sharing a sandwich) into an experience that tells the story of two places.
Naples and the North East
On one side is Naples, with its energy, street-food culture and the bold flavours of Campania. On the other is the North East of England, home of the Stottie: a distinctive, substantial and sociable bread deeply tied to local tradition.
A personal journey at the centre
At the heart of the project is an Italian chef from Naples who has put his own identity, and his own culinary journey, at the centre of a new food concept.

Not a copy of either place
The aim isn't to bring Campanian cooking to another country, nor to reinterpret the Stottie on the surface. It's a shared language: Stottie bread as the base for Campanian products, flavours and accompaniments. Two food cultures, meeting rather than merging.
Why "the Crush"?
The Crush is the moment the sandwich meets the griddle. The bread warms, the outside turns crisp, the filling comes together. It's also about connection: two worlds pressed closer, creating something new without losing what makes each of them itself.
Eaten by hand, shared and remembered
Comfort food with a clear identity: recognisable, accessible and distinctive.
